SCHOOL of CLAY ARTS is a Singapore-based ceramic studio.

Dedicated to stimulating critical and creative applications of craft and material knowledge, we hope our programmes and approaches would prove to be a provoking, productive basis to all who share our interest in the future of working with one's hands.

How do we find our place amongst established cultures? Each year, we organise S O C A Salon to present our thoughts to questions that we are curious about. What does it mean to be a maker in Singapore? What objects do we want to surround ourselves with? We don’t necessarily have the answer, but we have taken a position.

This year, we are proud to launch S O C A 's first pottery collection alongside a showcase of our studio members' practices.

#thepipitroadcollection*is a small-batch, design-driven, artisanal series celebrating urban lifestyles and contemporary ethos of production through handcrafted pottery and furniture.

*Conceptualised together with indie furniture designer Zhen Feng Object Workshop

Droppin' 1st December at The Glasshouse @ CHIJMES.

*The Pipit Road Collection plates will retail at SGD 60. Take SGD 5 off when you BYOB/Bubble Wrap/Carrier.

We are paying our friends at Apartment Coffee and Summerhouse a 'house visit' this holiday season because we think learning to create beautiful objects for living is better in good company and in spaces that inspire.

Spend quality time with your nearest and dearest this festive season, and pick up a timeless skill together. Make your own cups, mugs, dishes, and even little figurines out of clay in this workshop, before unwinding over the delicious offerings by our friends!
