About the MasterClass:

In this 3 Days Masterclass workshop, Mr Moon Byung Sik a.k.a MoonDoBang will be sharing his stellar techniques of throwing with porcelain. Participants will be working with 2-3 KG of porcelain clay per throws and receive hand-on-hand guidance by Mr Moon on the Korean technique of lifting porcelain cylinders effectively. Mr Moon will also be teaching his methodology of crafting beautiful 10KG porcelain moonjars and altered forms.

About Moon Byung Sik

Byung Sik Moon, the visionary behind Moon Do Bang, is a prolific master potter known for his tireless dedication to crafting exquisite porcelain. With over two decades of expertise, Moon's journey began in high school, where diligence propelled him to surpass peers.

Mr Moon started Moon Do Bang - which means Moon’s Pottery Shop - at 26. He has transitioned from personal preferences to user-centric creations. Embracing traditional Korean influences, Moon's work mirrors the precision of historical potters. His production studio is in Yeuju, a town steeped in ceramic history, known for its fine-grade porcelain. Mr Moon produces 1000–3000 pots every month with an assistant’s help. In addition to thrown pots, Mr Moon also produces customized slab-built and slip-cast plates.
